This pattern is a quick knit and the hat is perfect for dress up, costumes, or as a toasty warm winter hat! The hat itself is worked flat, with a seam that will be covered up by the mane--in other words, it doesn't have to look pretty! The horn and ears are worked separately and sewn to the finished hat. The mane (a great stash buster!) is attached at the end.
NOTE: The pattern calls for size 6 needles for baby sizes, and size 7 for all other sizes.
