These are my favorite toe-up vanilla socks!This pattern is designed to be a forethought heel, meaning I have you add waste yarn at the point you want to insert the heel, but it also includes instructions for making a true afterthought heel. Includes extra Bits and Bobs like, how to add those little bows and patches, to make your socks extra unique and cute.
These vanilla socks include a gusset bit for the heel. If you have high arches or deep instep you will definitely want to create the gusset for a comfortable fit. If you have a short heel and tend to get sloshie socks in the heel you may want to do less gusset rows, or eliminate the gusset all together and just work the heel.
Foot length: adjustable to fit. Pattern already calculates a 10% negative ease for each standard foot circumference. INCLUDES THE INCREASE MATH FOR CALF EXPANSION ON KNEE-HIGH LENGTH.
