I designed these socks in a beachhouse in a small town in the west of France called Le-Verdon-sur-mer. This house belonged to my girlfriend’s grandmother and everything stayed the same since the 60s : floral wallpapers, leather chairs and even psychedelic pants in the closet. I knitted these socks to wear in the evening, when I get back from the beach and enjoy the fresh salty air in the porch with my yarn and needles or a good book.
The pattern includes two versions. One for a classic 4 ply sock yarn and one for a heavier 5 ply sport yarn. Check your gauge and yarn weight to choose the most appropriate version for your yarn.
If you have a bigger foot, you can also make the 4 ply version with a heavier yarn, and vice versa for a tighter foot. The lenght is adjustable in both versions.
