This pattern is part of the Flower Power Fund campaign to raise money for Marie Curie UK cancer charity. £2 from every pattern sold during April 2020 will go to support the charity.
The flower for April’s Flower Power Fund is Periwinkle, or Vinca Minor as is its latin name. DyeNinja has dyed up a beautiful colour and will donate a portion of the sales to the same charity during April. I couldn’t find any periwinkle to photograph the shawl with, but I did find some lovely blue spring flowers who were delighted to model with the shawl.
The pattern is fully written and charted, suitable for someone who has done a little bit of lace before. The pattern can be adjusted for size by working more or less repeats.
Yarn: 1 skein DyeNinja High Twist Merino Fingering, 100% merino wool, 365m(440yds)/100g Needles: 3.75mm (US5) Gauge: 20sts/10cm in stocking stitch blocked. Finished measurements: wingspan ~150cm/59”, depth 58cm/23”
