Vintage Heart Tattoo overlay mosaic square

This overlay mosaic square features a Vintage Heart Tattoo with that classic old school look - A deep red heart with a banner across the front that says "LOVE" and a pair of birds. Perfect for Valentine's Day decor with a twist, or that Tattoo enthusiast in your life. These squares work great for pillows, tote bags, placemats, or wall hangings, or repeat the square a few times for a table runner or blanket, etc.

This pattern includes a fully marked chart & written row-by-row instructions. The written instructions are for the black birds but there is a BONUS CHART for the bluebirds included!

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. (Sample done in #4 yarn with 5mm hook) You will need 2-4 colors of yarn - one for the background, another for the heart & banner, and a 4th color if you want a different color for the birds as well. This design could be worked in just 2 colors if you want to keep it simple. Total yarn used is < 4oz. Pattern in US terms.
