The small city of Peterborough, Ontario, is where I spent my years as an undergraduate student. When I returned a decade later for a year-long stint as a teaching Professor, I was pleased to discover that a yarn shop (Needles in the Hay) had opened downtown on Water Street. I spent many enjoyable afternoons knitting there, and made several wonderful friends amongst the knitters in town.
The Water Street cardigan is simple to knit and effortless to wear. Sleeves and body are each worked separately and then joined for a raglan yoke, with a few garter ridges added for extra texture at cuffs and upper torso.
