The Whirlwind Hat is part of the 5th annual Crochet Cancer Challenge. I chose lavender to represent all types of cancer, as no matter who we are, what we've done or will do, cancer has an impact upon our lives. I have been fortunate to befriend several cancer survivors, breast, prostate and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. They each are dear friends that have become an extension of my family. So I made this hat in their honor as a small token of support for the challenges that come with treating cancer.
With a goal of 50,000 pledges to donate a hat to a cancer patient or survivor, you can grab each pattern for free for 1 week at a time. Be sure to check Sweet Potato 3 daily for the next hat. There will be 31 new to you hats during October!
