Wholehearted is a flowing semi-circular shawl with a textured pattern of all over hearts which grow and expand toward the outer edge of the shawl. It was inspired by Konane, a very kind friend who loves hearts, and by Brene Brown’s The Gifts of Imperfection, and I offer it as an invitation to reflect on ways to embrace your own wholeheartedness.
The design suits 700-900m heavy lace to fingering yarn, in solid, semi-solid, gradient or subtle speckle varieties. Use yarn that will tolerate enthusiastic blocking and hold its new shape well.
The shawl is worked top down with a wedge construction and the edging can be extended a little to mop up some extra yarn.
Suits lace to fingering weight yarn in any yardage between approx 700 - 900m.
