Wild Ivy Shawl is a top down shawl that includes both chart and written instructions.
For a while now I’ve been looking to design a shawl that incorporated a leaf motif in a panel section of a shawl. The result became the Wild Ivy Shawl! A column of leaves cascades down the spine of the shawl flanked by stockinette that eventually grows into a lace border reminiscent of ivy.
Materials:
Fingering weight: Blue Ridge Yarns Kaleidoscope Superwash Sock Yarn [100% Merino] 100 g: 400 yds/366 m (2 skeins); color Lime OR 525-575 yds (480-526 m) of fingering weight yarn
Lace weight: Malabrigo Yarn Lace [100% Merino] 50 g: 470 yds/430 m (2 skeins); color Molly OR 750 yds (686 m) of lace weight yarn.
Needles: straight or circular needle at least 32”/80 cm
Fingering & lace weight: US 5 (3.75 mm)
Finished Dimensions:
Fingering weight: 43.5”/110.5 cm wide and 21”/53.3 cm long at center points, after blocking
Lace weight: 53” /135 cm wide and 23”/58 cm lon
