Wildflowers is one of my favorite songs by the late Tom Petty; it resonates with me. To be free, to be who we are, without the confinements of who society and social norms think we are “supposed” to be — appreciating our unique qualities. Being happy with who we are, without worry.
Worked in the round, Wildflowers contains written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. Directions are for both cuff-down and toe-up. If you feel inclined to make 2 in the same direction, that’s completely acceptable, or one of each if you’re feeling particularly topsy-turvy! Wildflowers features 4 sizes. You’ll also find a sock worksheet, so you know how to measure your foot to achieve a perfect fit. Wildflowers has directions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.
The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the pattern notes do contain details should you wish to use double pointed needles instead.
