Knit your own love heart, only 2.5” tall. This kitsch knitted heart, with little knitted wings to help love fly would make a great Valentine gift or Christmas tree decoration. The hearts can also be knitted without wings. I find this a quick and addictive knit.
For an ADVENTUROUS BEGINNER knitter using the technique of short row shaping (fully explained in the pattern). The Heart is knitted flat and only has one small sewn seam.
SKILLS REQUIRED Garter (knit) Stitch; Purl Stitch; Picking Up stitches; K2tog; short row shaping (explained in the pattern)
MATERIALS REQUIRED Approx 30 yards of red or pink Double Knitting yarn; Approx 10 yards of white or cream Double Knitting yarn; US size 3 (3.25 mm) needles; Fiberfill; Tapestry needle
