When the colder months start to approach there is nothing I like better than to wrap myself up in a cosy blanket.
Inspired by this thought I designed the Winter Hugs Blanket.
Created with a beginner crocheter in mind, this PDF pattern uses US terminology & contains full instructions on how to create your very own Winter Hugs Blanket (the pattern also includes a photographic tutorial for the 'spike' stitch).
I have created two versions, to sample different yarn weights:
- The navy/silver/white version was created using aran weight & a 5mm crochet hook - The red/white/silver version was made with a chunky weight & a 6mm crochet hook.
You can use any yarn weight to create your Winter Hugs Blanket, just ensure to use the hook size recommended by the branded yarn.
The pattern is so versatile you can create it in any size to suit you & as it works up quickly you could create your own Winter Hugs in no time.
