Designed to be made and kept as a treasured family heirloom that comes out every year, this Woodland Santa will bring a beautifully rustic touch to your home each Christmas. I have used some beautiful Rowan yarn to make mine to keep it extra special but substitute yarns could easily be used.
The finished woodland Santa stands at approx. 56/57cm tall, and is supported by a cardboard cone. Instructions for how to make the cardboard cone are included in the pattern.
The head is made separately, with the beard and hair being added on after and then the finished head is inserted into to the top of the cone.
Santa’s coat is draped over the cone to create the main part of the body, with sleeves and mittens being attached to make the arms.
Once the main figure is made the Christmas tree, bucket full of woodland goodies, Winter wreath and stick bundle are added on after.
