For most of us "Zigzag Cardigan" is easier to pronounce, but the true name of this piece should be "Tse Bighanilini" which in Navaho language means "the place where water runs through rocks." That is what Navaho Indians call one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen - Antelope Canyon. These magnificent, spiral rocks formed by erosion inspired me to design a tiny cardigan - fitted and cropped with ¾ sleeves and zigzag details.
As with most of my cardigans, Zigzag is knit top down, completely seamlessly with set in sleeves worked using short rows.
The Stockinette stitch on the body and sleeves makes the knitting almost mechanical, but the cables keep it exciting and interesting.
Cardigan is meant to be worn with 1-2" (2½cm-5cm) of negative ease.
