This is NOT suitable for a first project in miniature crochet, due to the very tiny hook and fine thread used.
Materials required for whole set of table mats: ½ ball No. 80 crochet cotton or Tatting thread No 70 (this will be enough to work 6 of each size tablemat), 0.40 mm crochet hook. Tablecloth -1 ball No. 100 crochet cotton or good quality sewing thread, size 0.40 mm crochet hook.
Approximate finished sizes: Large tablemat - ¾-inch/2 cm long by ½-inch/1.25 cm wide. Small round mat - ¼-inch/0.75 cm diameter. Tablecloth - 4-inches/10 cm long by 3¼-inches/8 cm wide.
Gauge: is not important in this project, as miniature tables vary in size.
