Product Details

Andy Warhol was a world-famous pop art icon, but he got his start in Pittsburgh. This design is inspired by some of his well-known silk screen prints, and the name is a play on his quip that, "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes."

This cowl is knit seamlessly in the round, beginning with a provisional cast on. When the whole cowl has been knit, the provisionally cast on stitches are placed onto a spare needle and grafted with the end stitches for a seamless tube. To knit this pattern, you need to know how to work in the round, work a stranded colorwork pattern from a chart, and use Kitchener stitch to graft live stitches.

Because many knitters find that their stranded work is a bit tighter than their work with a single color, a larger needle is recommended for the stranded portions of this cowl. Be sure to swatch both the single-color and stranded pattern portions of this pattern to ensure a consistent gauge.

This pattern has been tech edited and test knit.
