Product Details
Charming, warm, quick to knit. The mittens can form a set with Abuabu hat or they can be done as a separate item.
Size: The pattern is written in three sizes: child, adult slim and adult regular. The size can also be adjusted by going up or down a needle size, or by changing the yarn weight and adjusting the needles accordingly.
Level: Adventurous beginner or intermediate. The mittens are knit in the round. The pattern uses long-tail cast on, slipped stitches, cables and yarnovers.
The instructions are both written and charted.
Needle size and notions: US 6 / 4mm and US 7 / 4.5mm circulars or DPNs or any size that lets you meet the gauge, markers, waste yarn or stitch holder.
Gauge: 17 sts and 23 rows in stockinette = 10x10cm / 4x4 inches. If necessary, go up or down needle size to get the gauge.
Yarn suggested: Aran weight yarn that meets the gauge, 50 – 100g. My sample is adult slim and it was done in Drops Alaska, I used 75g / 116 yards / 105 m for the pair.
