Product Details
Aerate is a light-as-air lace cowl whose clever, three-dimensional shaping gives the look of a perfectly draped shawl without the fuss of arranging and rearranging loose ends. This shaped cowl is worked in-the-round from the top-down, increasing outward radially for a larger circumference at the base. Short rows are worked intermittently to add dramatic height to the front of the cowl, giving it a distinctly asymmetrical shape that drapes beautifully.
Sample shown is knit in Brooklyn Tweed's Vale yarn. Cowl requires approximately 435 yards of lace-weight yarn.
**Please note: The lace stitch patterns for this pattern are charted only. **Pattern PDF includes two supplementary documents, containing a complete stitch-by-stitch chart of the entire cowl, including color-coded short row shaping sections with turning points indicated for each row. Refer to pages 1-12 for 'main' pattern instructions.
