Product Details

Pearly the Hummingbird loves to flit around the flowers and trees dipping her cute little beak to sip nectar and hum her favourite Beach Boys tunes.

This cute little Amigurumi bird is made from any 4ply mercerized cotton. In the pattern I have used Yarnart Begonia mercerized cotton and a 2.00mm crochet hook.

I've used 5 different colours. Each colour is no more than 5-10 grams. Although in the pattern specs I've said 5 balls, you'll only need very small amounts of each colour.

The other bits and pieces you'll need are 6mm safety eyes, polyfill stuffing, a darning needle and can be sewn together with the same cotton or invisible thread.

Stitches (US terms):

Slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, and trebles.

If Pearly is to be handled by children under 3, I'd absolutely recommend crocheting or embroidering the eyes on instead of using safety eyes. Just to be extra safe!

The pattern comes with full written instructions. There are also loads of step by step photos as well as some stitch graphs to accompany the written instructions for the little wings.
