Knitted skirts are a joy to wear and this one is so simple to knit in any size and with any yarn or needle size. The Ancestors Skirt features an intuitive cable pattern over a 2 x 2 rib on circular needles.
It has lovely provenance since it was created thanks to a dearheart requesting a knitted skirt via the Inner Wild Etsy Shop. This pattern details exactly how it was made so you can make your own.
Worked on 4.5 mm / (US 7), 4mm (US 6) and 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles and using any DK yarn Ancestors Skirt is One Size with the flexibility of modifying length and width.
The original Ancestors Skirt pictured {hip size 32/34"} was knitted using Drops Karisma DK pure wool yarn, 7 x 50g balls {around 700 m / 707 yrds}.
A Magic Cast On Stitch Count panel is included so you can make any size Ancestors Skirt you'd like.
