Product Details
Several years ago, a friend asked if I could crochet a blanket to match.the new doll bed Santa had brought for her daughter's favorite baby doll. For years, Annabelle slept warm and cozy with her rose blankie and pillows.
Recently, I updated the pattern for this set to include two sizes for dolls and stuffed pets. The original afghan size, worked in a fingering-weight yarn, measures about 15-1/2” x 20”, the perfect accessory for a small doll bed or an 18-inch doll. The matching pillow measures about 5-1/2” square. (A “fine” baby yarn would also work well, as long as you pay attention to the gauge or don’t care if it works up just a bit larger). The “Blankie” size, worked in DK weight yarn, measures about 22-1/2” square -- just right for a “wrap up” for a 15-inch baby doll or teddy bear-- and the pillow is 6” square.
Yarn amounts are included for each rnd of the motif, in case you would like to add more to make an actual baby-size blankie.
