Product Details

Appenzell is a top-down, seamless raglan cardigan worked in stockinette with garter edging along the fronts. This cardigan is designed to be oversized and cozy. The body is an A-line shape, you slowly increase throughout the body. The sleeves are then picked up and knit in the round, you decrease slowly to create wide and cozy sleeves.

I recommend choosing a to fit bust size that is around 2-6″ {5 -15 cm} larger than your actual bust measurement. Sample is size 4 with 4″ {10 cm} of positive ease, regular length version on a 5’4 model.

There are 3 length options: cropped, regular & long.

Choosing Yarn: The gauge can also be met with fingering, DK or worsted, but the drape and heaviness of the fabric will change. A worsted weight yarn at this gauge will create a much heavier and sturdy cardigan than the two lace weights held together which creates a super lofty and drapey cardigan. If you choose to use a different yarn weight you will need to experiment with needle sizes to achieve gauge.

Notes
I used madtosh prairie and knitpicks mohair, but this mohair is similar. 2 lace weights held together is like a fingering weight.
