Product Details
When you're having one of "those" days, maybe a pretty bouquet of flowers is what you need... The lovely Jacobean-era inspired Awa an Bile cross stitch pattern features brilliant Japan Threads in both gold and copper, as well as pretty gold beads. The text "Awa an bile yer heid" is Scottish Doric, and translates to "Go away and boil your head", aka "get lost." The pattern comes with a full black and white pattern and a full colour pattern. Model stitched over two on Zweigart 28ct Cashel linen (Antique White). A link to a tutorial for couching is included in the pattern. ADDITIONAL MATERIALS NEEDED: 1 spool each of Kreinik 002J (Japan Gold) #12 Braid and Kreinik 021J (Copper) Japan Thread #7, as well as one pack of Mill Hill 00557 (Old Gold) size #11 seed beads. You will also need sewing or embroidery threads that match the colour of the Kreinik threads for couching -- DMC 21 will work for the Copper Japan Thread, and 865 Gutermann polyester sewing thread will work for the Japan Gold #12 Braid.
