Product Details

Beachcomber is a very adaptable shawl. A plain, stocking stitch, body evolves into bands of shell-like lace patterning and is finished off with a very simple lace border. A scattering of beads highlight the lace. The pattern offers the opportunity to make either a two-colour shawl or, alternatively, a one colour version. Using two skeins of yarn, two different colours, same base, Beachcomber is a simple yet effective shawl. The original, the two-colour version, was worked using two skeins of DyeDianaDye SilkenSea fingering burt any fingering weight yarn would work beautifully.

This pattern includes instructions for a one colour version and suggestions for alternative versions using additional colours.

Beachcomber is perfect for using the remaining yarn from your Tinsmith shawl!

Simple to knit, simple to wear, this crescent shaped shawl has many combinations each giving you a shawl you can make your own!
