Product Details

This shawl was dreamed up as an ode to bright and adventurous yarn colors shown over a mellow background. The pattern could work well with one skein of variegated or ombre yarn used for a contrast color as well as a set of mini skeins. Or maybe dive into your stash and get a whole lot of yarn leftovers and scraps to use for each stripe!

Beautyberry is worked from corner to corner in three stitch patterns. The good news: all colorwork is done with slipped stitches, so only one color is used per row. Bobbles are not worked one by one; instead, sections of fabric are shaped with increases and decreases over several rows, this way being way less labor-intensive.

Yarn: main color - 650yds of solid colored fluff (Suri / mohair) or fingering weight yarn; contrast color - 300yds total; 6 colors would require 50yds each
