Product Details
It´s finally summer outside and so it is about time for a light and colourful sweater!
The sweater has been worked with Soft Silk from BC Garn. The 100% bourette silk is a bit crisp and feels wonderfully soft and light on the skin. However, the yarn grows quite a bit with blocking. So you will want to wash your swatch and carefully note before and after gauges before casting on. The sweater uses approximately 1100-1700 m of main colour, depending on size being knit and less than 35 m of each of the five contrasting colours. There are twelve sizes, starting with size 32 and going up to size 54.
The Bellis P. sweater is worked seamlessly in one piece with the contiguous method from the top down. This makes it very easy to try the garment on as you go and to add or subtract rounds whenever necessary to create a perfect fit. The pattern also gives some help in finding the appropriate size to knit.
The shoulders are shaped by short rows and the keyhole shape at the front neckline is held together by a tasseled twisted cord.
An Appendix contains illustrated tutorials for all techniques used.
