Product Details
The Broken Crayons Throw I is the first in a collection of knitted blankets, afghans and throws. A beginner knitting pattern, you just need to know the following, how to cast on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, yarn overs and knit two together. The border edging is the only slightly more advanced part, you will need to pick up stitches. The gauge for this pattern is 18x36 plain knitting every row (dk yarn on 4.5mm knitting needles) You will need: 4.5mm needles (short circular or regular length straights, and 4.5mm long circulars for the edging, mine were 120cm), dk yarn in 5 colours, 200g of each colour (I used Stylecraft Special DK, colours, Sage, French Navy, Grape, Empire and Bright Pink), scissors, tape measure and tapestry needles. Anything else will be listed in the pattern The finished size of this lap blanket is 45x54 inches.
