Product Details
This sampler throw took inspiration from many sources, including my own imagination. Many 'advanced' techniques are used but, like anything, once you know how to do them they are actually not that difficult.
It was a joy to both design and knit. I hope you have as much fun making it as I did!
Made in 5 sections plus left and right borders, the throw only requires vertical seams. Smaller throws can be made by just knitting adjacent sections or a rectangular subset of blocks.
Each of the 32 closed cable stitch patterns and the borders have full written instructions and are charted.
Gauge is not critical as long as each section can be blocked to the same height and a consistent width so using wool or yarn with a high wool content is recommended.
The sample was made using 6 colours. Alternatively, it could be a really colourful stash buster. A blank layout and yarn estimates for each block/border is provided on the last page for those of you who want to try out your own colour schemes.
