Who says that a pair has to be made out of the same pattern? If they're made with the same yarn, then theoretically, they're a matching pair right? Calvin & Ripple are made out of the same fur, but they couldn't be more different. And believe me, they make quite a pair.
The Calvin sock is knit from the toe-up, following Cat Bordhi's Riverbed architecture. It features a fun, wild slip stitch pattern on the front of the sock, bordered by a garter rib on either side along the foot. Calvin makes the best of hand painted yarn and is sure to mix up the colors nicely. The heel flap transitions into the stretchy mistake stitch rib, balancing out the more rigid nature of the slip stitch pattern.
The Ripple sock is knit from the cuff down and features a rippling pattern on the front of the sock, and the same mistake stitch ribbing on the back. However, Ripple is not to be outdone by Calvin in the fit department. No no. Ripple's sock is a reverse engineered Riverbed style archi
