Product Details
This toque is named for Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, which is known for frequent storms and turbulent sea seas. With thick, twisty cables and a turned up brim, Cap Hatteras will keep you warm and cozy on a cold day at sea – whether you’re sailing around the Cape itself, or storm watching on its beautiful beaches! Sized to fit a 22 inch (adult) head. Materials Needed: Approximately 120 m / 136 yards of heavy worsted weight wool. The sample hat was made with Coldharbour Mill Worsted Spun Aran. For a similar look, try Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in Blackberry.
4 mm / US 6 and 5 mm / US 8 circular needles, 40 to 50 cm (16 to 20 inches) long, and 5 mm / US 8 Double Pointed Needles. If you prefer to knit hats using the magic loop technique, use circular needles at least 80 cm / 32 inches in length. A cable needle. A tapestry needle for weaving in ends. A stitch marker for marking the beginning of round.
