Product Details
Much like the musical term capriccio, this shawl is a free form yet structured design to show off the beauty of the Jorstad Creek Antigua gradient yarn, especially when paired with the drape and shine of Iona. The three paneled shawl sits easily on the shoulders with or without pinning. The contrasting color notes (intermittent short row sections) may be placed where you want or follow the pattern. It’s up to you!
The sample was made with Jorstad Creek yarns and used approx. 800 yds. main color and 300 yds. from the contrasting color kit.
This pattern is extremely versatile with regards to yarn selection; use your imagination. I've personally made 6 so far, and each time it's an exciting process seeing the shawl develop from the choice of yarns.
If using different ombre kits, you need to be aware of the yardage in each color and adapt the number of contrasting color rows you knit with each.
