Product Details
The word Carousel originated during the 12th century, in Europe, and refers to a type of jousting game played by knights on horseback. It was an amusing way for them to practice cavalry skills and involved aiming a large spear through tiny rings, that were wrapped in bright ribbons, and suspended around a training stadium.
The colorwork for Carousel is done a bit differently, combining elements from two different techniques, Fair Isle and Instarsia. The instructions have been written for 3 contrast colors to be incorporated into the stripes, each used twice, but this hat can be made with 1, 2, or 6 contrast colors, as well.
