Product Details
This pattern has two twist-stitch and lace panels on a knit background. The pattern was adapted from a Celtic panel that reminds me of hearts or perhaps a maze.
The pattern provides 2 charts for the lace panel plus full written instructions for the panels. At the full width (14.5 inches / 37 cm), 800 yards of lace-weight yarn will give you, at most, about 57 inches (145 cm) of shawl. For planning purposes: one repeat is about 3 inches (7.6 cm) and uses about 50 yards (45.7 m) of yarn.
Silver Spun Silk is a smooth, lace-weight yarn with little halo.
The sample was worked using a twist-stitch, but it could also be worked as a 2-stitch cable. A cable needle is an option if you want to work the design as a cable. Twelve stitch markers are recommended for keeping track of the design.
