Product Details
Choucas is the French name for Jackdaw, a passerine bird in the crow family. Intelligent, faithful and very sociable it usually nests in towers or stone crevices located in height. Choucas is the name I gave to this oversized, simple and comfortable sweater that will occupy a privileged place in your wardrobe. Knitted with a wool and hemp yarn it has a nice drape. It is an unisex sweater, elegant and pleasant for women and man as well.
Choucas is worked in the round and bottom up to the armholes, where work is split and worked flat. Shoulders are rejoined using a three needles bind off. The sleeves are picked up at the armholes and then worked top down. The cable pattern is charted and fully written.
It has been designed with 5-7 in/12-18 cm ease (based on the larger chest measurement within the range). The sample is modelled in size M with 8 in/20 cm ease for the woman and 5in/12 cm ease for the man.
Gauge: 15 sts x 19 rows (stockinette); 23 sts x 20rows(cable patern)
