The Cleaning Lady Tea Cosy knitting pattern is a wonderful knitting project to make this amazing tea cosy of a cleaner hard at work.
This lovely cleaning lady tea cosy was inspired by 1940's style housewives; the tea cosy depicts the cleaning lady down on her hands and knees scrubbing whatever to set the teapot down on.
She is wearing pink rubber gloves to protect her hands, and she has a bucket of water and a scrubbing brush in hand. There are soap suds a plenty to clean up the grime and germs.
I think most people these days use mops or steam mops, it was during the early 20th century when people probably last got on their knees with a scrubbing brush to clean the floor, so its a lovely nod towards the Vintage era.
She's perfect for people who hate housework and who would like the services of a cleaning lady.
