Cloudscape is a reversible triangular shawl worked side-to-side with i-cord edges in a soft merino silk fingering weight yarn held together with a lofty kid mohair silk lace yarn. The simple yet stylish fabric of the shawl is created by alternating stocking stitch and reverse stocking stitch sections.
Finished Measurements Size: Small (Large) All measurements are after blocking. Wingspan across top edge: 53 (69) inches/135 (175) cm. Depth at widest point: 25 (36.5) inches/63.5 (93) cm.
Yarn Requirements 437 (765) yards/400 (700) metres of fingering/4 ply yarn and 437 (765) yards/400 (700) metres of lace/2 ply yarn.
Both yarns are held together throughout.
This yarn combination can be substituted with 437 (765) yards/400 (700) metres of light worsted/DK/8 ply yarn.
Gauge 17 sts and 20 rows per 4 inches/10 cm in stocking stitch after blocking. Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.
