Product Details
Asymmetric shaping, easy lace and garter stitch combine to create this quick-to-knit shawl. It’s worked from the bottom up with short rows the way many crescent shawls are worked, except in the case of Coastline Shawl the deepest point is not in the center but off to the side, creating a sweeping shape. A lace panel runs from the top edge to the bottom, where it blends in with the lace that decorates the edge of the shawl. Coastline Shawl would show off the colors of a hand-dyed sock or sport weight yarn wonderfully; however as gauge is not crucial you could use any yarn you like.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Length along top edge AFTER BLOCKING: 52.25 inches or 132.5cm. Depth from top edge to bottom edge at deepest point AFTER BLOCKING: 11.5 inches or 29cm or approximately 0.5 inches or 1.25cm longer if you shape the points when blocking, as shown in the sample.
