Product Details

This beautiful flowing coat is knit using a single ply aran weight blend of silk and cotton from NORO called Taiyo. It is knit in the Entrelac stitch pattern making a bias construction that gives a wonderful forgiving fit. The pattern explains the stitch and gives You-tube references to help the early entrelac knitter. The size of the project actually seems to knit fast because of the color changing aspect of the yarn and the excitement of how the pattern progresses. Each shape is detailed line by line and then grouped as a "tier" for easy understanding. Graphics are included with a schematic and stitch counts for each size to mark up for easy reference. Shapes are repeated throughout the pattern as you learn each one.

Changing yarns: keep to an aran or bulky yarn with some rayon, cotton or silk content along with the wool for the intended flowing effect of the garment. A long color change yarn is the key to the patchwork look of the entrelac woven color variety.
