You can use 300 yards of your favorite DK or worsted weight yarn that will make this a very warm cowl. If you would like a lighter weight cowl to add a pop of color to a summer outfit, simply use a finer yarn, lace weight would even work, and keep the hook size the same. It is a really versatile pattern that you can make over and over again.
