Product Details
The name for this shawl comes from its similarity to a circular saw’s blade, with the edging in particularly mimicking the sharp teeth of the blade. Despite the inspiration for this shawl, it is indeed a super-snuggly shawl just perfect for showing off boutique spun yarn.
This semi-circular shawl (a bit of a tongue twister after a few, that may come out like circular saw!) uses Elizabeth Zimmermann’s theory of pi shawl shaping to gradually increase. A simple eyelet pattern throughout makes for meditative knitting. Cutting Edge is finished with a garter stitch knitted-on edging providing the knitter with an engaging and interesting way to finish the shawl.
The snuggliness factor of this shawl is sure to make it an instant favourite as it sits comfortable over shoulders, laps or even sleeping babes.
Construction: Cutting Edge is a classically shaped semi-circular shawl that uses EZ's theory of pi shawl shaping to expand its size.
