Product Details
This shawl features a unique cable stitch that is combined with a Japanese ladder-type stitch, which combined make a striking shawl. It is a fun knit, and goes fairly quickly as it’s knit using sport weight yarn. For those of you that enjoy knitting cable lace, I think this cable will intrigue you. Even most veteran cable knitters will probably find this particular cable new and different from most that they have knitted.
The stitches are charted out only.
Skill level: Intermediate (assuming a working knowledge of cable and lace knitting).
There are also instructions for an optional crocheted edging.
Any heavy fingering weight yarn, or light sport weight yarn can be used for this shawl. The sample was made using Lorna's Laces Sportmate yarn.
No crochet hooks are needed if you don't wish to crochet the edging.
