What you'll need
Product Details
These are about as warm and cozy as you could ever hope for fingerless gloves to be. The yarn is knit at a tighter gauge than usual to keep the wind at bay, and they really do. When I first made these, I lived in western Maine USA and did a lot of walking; they really served me well on even the coldest of days. I made them specifically to wear over those cheap, ratty dollar store gloves that everyone has. They’re also great on their own, especially for tasks where you need full use of all your fingers.
Size note: size can be altered by altering gauge. The size above was knit at 5 sts/in (20 sts/4in, 20 sts/10cm). A gauge of 4.5 sts/in (18 sts/4in, 18 sts/10cm) would make a mitt 8.25in/21cm around, a gauge of 4 sts/in (16 sts/4in, 16 sts/10cm) would make a mitt 9.5in/24cm around.
