I made this tea cosy in the absolute depths of Winter and it cheerful colours are like a burst of Spring cheerfulness. I was slightly dubious about mixing the two shades of blue but now I love the result. !The star of this tea cosy is the Daffodil. It is a glorious deep yellow with an orange trumpet offset with some tiny orange glass beads just to highlight its beauty even more. The petals and trumpet are knitted on double pointed needles and are double sided so it is beautiful from every angle and in fact would make a lovely brooch or hat ornament. I suggest knitting and making the daffodil up first so it is ready to stitch on to your tea cosy as soon as you have finished it. The daffodil is the most time consuming element in this project but well worth the effort. Every time I look at I feel happy!
