The directions are both charted and round-by-round for this fun poncho that shows the lace beautifully.
This poncho is knit in the round from the neck to the hem and then blocked out into a perfect circle. If you would like to make an open shawl-style (a cardigan-poncho), there are notes at the end of the directions for creating an open shawl - remember that you'll need to add about 100yds more yarn to the total needed (so about 580yds).
