Product Details
I love crescent-shaped scarves. They're so versatile and easy to wear. I spend most of the winter with one wrapped and tied around my neck, and even carry them in the summer, ready for over-airconditioned rooms. This scarf is named after Dice Bay, located on Lake Clark, where you’ll find Port Alsworth, Alaska, population 159, give or take a few. A scarf like Dice Bay would be a good idea in Port Alsworth, or anywhere else for that matter—it’s pretty AND practical.
This scarf is worked from tip to tip: increasing, working even, then decreasing, working the edging as you go.
Yarn substitutions are easy. For the sample shown I used 27% (by weight) for the Increase Section, 44% for the Work Even Section, and 27% for the Decrease Section.
This scarf was originally part of the Arctic Lace Luxury Yarn Club. (Membership is now closed.)
Note: This pattern will be available to EU customers through LoveKnitting. I will not increase the price before June 2015, since LoveKnitti
