Tired of knitting striped socks and having to carry your colours on the inside? Then the Double Helix Sock Pattern is for you. Using the helical knitting method, you can knit striped socks without carrying your yarn or having unsightly jogs!
The socks are knit from the top-down and uses heel flap construction. The Helical knitting method is also used to create the stripes in these socks.
What shoe sizes can be knit from this pattern? The pattern can be knit to any shoe size! Instructions are included in the pattern to tell you how long to knit before starting the toes, depending on the length you want the foot to be so it’s completely customisable. Just remember, the longer the sock, the more yarn you will need. When knitting a 4ply/fingerweight sock, you should be able to get up to a UK Size 10 from 100g (400m to 425m per 100g). Also included as an extra download when you buy the pattern is a guide to measuring your foot to get the best sock fit.
