The textures of this design were inspired by the gorgeous blooms and tender stems of the drimia plants. Drimia can be worn as a cozy wrap to provide comfort during the chilly spring nights, and as a long lightweight scarf once the warm weather comes into its own. Generous size and optional tassels add an extra touch of boho to this piece. Knit in just two skeins of fingering weight yarn, the wrap is easy to style and to wear.
Drimia is knit flat, from one short side to another. Decreases at one edge and increases along the other edge arrange the stitches in a biased pattern. The shawl is knit as a sequence of stripes in 3 stitch patterns. The pattern gives a possibility to stop whenever all of the yarn in a skein is used up, which makes the knit very flexible in terms of yardage and gauge.
