Product Details
The Dunes Cowl is an expansion on my original Dunes Scarf pattern. The original scarf used DK weight yarn. This update uses Aran yarn and is formed into a wide, warm cowl. It's a great pattern for men or women, and it almost exclusively uses double crochet stitches!
The pattern includes a photo tutorial as well as a link to a video tutorial that will show you how to do the Dunes fold (they're a little weird at first) as well as how to join the cowl to finish it.
I used 2 balls of WeCrochet/KnitPicks City Tweed Aran, but you can use any yarn you'd like! You could also make this a great scarf if you'd like to purchase additional yarn, as 2 balls only reach approximately 24". The height of the finished product is approximately 9".
The PDF file also includes the instructions for the scarf, as they use the same basic technique, but with different yarn weight, hook size, and stitch count.
