Product Details
For this design I was again inspired by peacock feathers and peacock colors, as happens with so many of my crochet work. I named this design the Vintage Peacock Lampshade Egg Cozy, for the shape reminded me of 1920s lampshades. But whatever my inspiration or associations, you can of course make this your own by dreaming up a completely different color scheme!
The egg cozy measures 5 cm/2 inch inside (widest point) and its height is 6 cm/2.4 inch. The yarn I use is 100% mercerized cotton (Sport / 5 ply (12 wpi) which is quite sturdy and has a nice shine to it.
The egg cozy is suitable for BEGINNERS since it has clear written instructions, explanations of the slightly more intricate stitches and many many photos. If you are familiar with the basics of crochet then it will not be a problem at all to make this cozy.
In this pattern I use American terms but a list with the equivalent British terms has been included in the pattern too.
