This shawl features a unique cable stitch that is combined with a lesser known of the Shetland lace stitches. Combined, they make a striking shawl. It is a fun knit, and goes fairly quickly as it’s knit using heavy fingering weight yarn. For those of you that enjoy knitting cable lace, I think this cable will intrigue you. Even most veteran cable knitters will probably find this particular cable new and different from most that they have knitted.
The stitches are both charted out and written out..
Skill level: Intermediate (assuming a working knowledge of cable and lace knitting).
Any heavy weight fingering or light weight sport weight yarn will work for this pattern.
No crochet hooks are needed if you decide you don't want to do the optional shawl edging.
